Unheardof November 2008

UNHEARDOF

For my last birthday Mikey's present was to take me to Unheardof.
No it's not a joke.. that's really what it is called!!

I love it.. "have you heard of unheardof?" No...

http://www.unheardof.com/

This is what we ate....

Stuffed mushroom cap to start. One mushroom only.. they sure know how to hook you on.

Seafood bisque: a rich marsala fish veloute poured over black tiger shrimp, Canadian scallops, king crab topped with a puff pastry fleuron. Sort of tasted like creamed shortbread.. It was so good. they came with a thermos and poured it right into the bowl on top of the seafood.

Mike's entree: Lamp chops: parsley cilantro roasted garlic seasoned lamb loin served medium rare, mongolian lamb chop, garlic scented potato fries, zinfandel sauce. I normally don't eat lamb but this was so good....

This is my entree.. the Game pair... Sage fennel peppercorn rubbed bison tenderloin, roasted carrots, yam mashed, pinot noir sauce; rosemary mustard seasoned rare venison tenderloin, currant stock reduction, shoestrings peas. I love game meat and in Alberta the game meat is very tasty. My favorite has got to be the Venison. Currant stock reduction is always so delicious with game meat.

I highly recommend Unheardof! The portions are small but just enough. It's very Canadian and the flavors are very unique. Book your seats early, they fill up quickly!

Happy Eating!!
